84. Andrea Hoffman on Life with Cystic Fibrosis During the Pandemic and Beyond

Dan Skinner talks with Andrea Hoffman, a sophomore at Ohio Northern University who lives with cystic fibrosis. Andrea shares her reflections on the pandemic, especially insofar as her pre-pandemic life already required that she take many of the same precautions that Ohioans have had to implement to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The conversation is grounded in reflections Andrea offered in a recently-published op-ed on CNN.com. You can follow Andrea on Twitter as well.

You can learn more about cystic fibrosis by visiting the American Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. For information about cystic fibrosis in Ohio, check out the CFF’s Central Ohio page. Also, as referenced on the episode, listeners might want to check out the episode with Kathryn Poe, on advocacy for insulin affordability (with Rep. Beth Liston).
