100. Senator Sherrod Brown

On our 100th episode, Dan Skinner talks with U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown about the state of things in DC and Columbus. The Senator speaks specifically to why he thinks making the Child Tax Credit permanent is one part of the stalled Build Back Better act worth fighting for. You can read a one-page PDF summary of the Child Tax Credit from Brown’s office here. Sen. Brown enumerates the ways in which Ohioans are struggling through the pandemic, but also generally, which he attributes to failures in government on both the state and federal levels. But Brown also finds hope in the persistence of Ohioans who refuse to quit, finding ways to address the pandemic, the opioid crisis, and more, despite rampant corruption and a failure of leadership in the Ohio Statehouse. You can follow Senator Brown on Twitter here.
